Tea-Length Wedding Dress Silhouette
I started designing wedding dresses in 2007 with a unique idea - I wanted to design informal dresses to set myself apart from all the other wedding dress designers. My inspiration has always been vintage and I was drawn to tea-length dresses so my first collection included them.
Tea-length wedding dresses were extremely popular in the 50’s. Many brides wore this style of dress for their big day in the 50’s with fluffy petticoats.
Typically shaped like a short A-line Or Ballgown dress, this silhouette is characterized by its shorter length. A true tea length will hit between the knees to calve. Some designers have advertised dresses as tea lengths that are just above floor length to just below the knee.
Could this be the silhouette of your dream wedding dress? Let me know in the comments! For more inspiration, check out my Wedding Dress Silhouettes board on Pinterest.
